Can't believe this Saturday marks 2 years since you left us. You did a great job being my dad and I can't wait to see you on the otherside!

I knew Pete through highschool and watched his career at U of M. I last saw him at his office when visiting Ann Arbor many years ago. He was, as always, so kind, with that gentle strength that seemed to be his trademark. I have always remembered that quality, which was there even during highschool. He was a man who will be missed by all who knew him, however briefly.

Pete is a good friend and always will be to me... he was always fair dealing with me when it came to putting Real Estate transactions together and I always considered Pete as honorable... I will miss our Harley rides to Brighton "Rocky's". Allen Elmer

I knew Pete in high school and then at Michigan in the dorm East Quad and then the fraternity we both joined. We learned to drink beer and how to play euchre. Pete of course was a great athlete and competitor supreme, but very humble. He was one of the kindest friend I ever had. I am sure he had a wonderful influence on many many people. Our continuing memory of Pete will continue to make us better people.

It's wonderful that Dan completed the trip for his dad. In 1965, our first year at U. of M., Pete and I roomed in East Quad with Charlie Casgrain and Charlie's record player. Our second year, 1966, we roomed at Phi Psi with Joe Kunsa and Joe's Big Ben Alarm Clock and pet duck. I remember Pete's parents. He was very tough and she was very nice and Pete had a great combination of those two qualities. I've told all our children and many friends about my college friend who drilled wells as a kid, played football at 200 plus pounds and wrestled at 167, was the best college wrestler in the country, and bailed me out of brawls in an Ann Arbor bar and a U.of M. basketball game. He was the toughest guy I've ever known, yet gracious and nice when years later, and very late at night, George Sinadinos (sp?) stood there in the Knight Cap and talked me into joining in a call to Pete. I'm sad that Pete passed away, but happily remember 1965, 1966, and Pete with Ann. Jack Hobey.

I was saddened to hear about Pete's life being cut way too short. From one the wrestling team members of the 1965 team I enjoyed seeing him once again at the induction hall of fame in Lansing. We communicated occassionally on facebook, I so regret not seeing him again since we did not live that far apart. You never know when a friendship can be taken away, cherish and take some time with those you meet.

I went to school with Pete all the way from third grade through high school. Pete was a great guy. He was a person everyone knew would be successful. My condolences to Pete's family and friends.

Today, we celebrated Pete's exceptional life with his family and friends. It was a sad time but still a good time to remember all the good Pete did for all of us. He was a great friend to so many people. Our memories are so full of the good times-cards, dinners, riding. We'll miss you, Pete.

Pete was a rare person deserving in absolute unreserved respect. He balanced drive and determination with humour and charm and my time spent with him was a privilege but sadly cut short. He will live long in the memory and has set standards that few will meet. He remains an inspiration to me and that will not change.

Our thoughts are with all his family and friends, and of course especially Sue.
