Natalie, David James 3/28/1943 - 11/1/2016 Dexter Age 73, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home with his wife by his side. Born in Monroe, MI, he was the son of the late James Cosmos and Alice Didario Natalie and was the husband of Karin Zelgert Natalie. Mr. Natalie was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he had served in Germany as a linguist. He was sent to the University of Syracuse to learn to speak Russian and taught himself to speak Czechoslovakian. It was during his time in Germany that he met his wife and together, they have enjoyed 47 years of marriage. Mr. Natalie enjoyed keeping in touch with his friends from the Air Force and was an active member of the Hof Reunion Association, even serving as President for a time. He later earned his MBA from Eastern Michigan University and went to work as an accountant before eventually retiring. Mr. Natalie was an avid golfer and belonged to the Ann Arbor Golfing League where he served as Treasurer for many years. He and his wife attended Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Ann Arbor and St. Andrew's in Dexter. In addition to his wife, Mr. Natalie is survived by numerous cousins and extended family members in Monroe. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angelique Natalie; and his sister, Patricia Ann Natalie. The family will receive friends at the Nie Family Funeral Home, 3767 W. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor, MI on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 4 PM until 8 PM. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 PM with visitation for one hour prior. Karin, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We enjoyed seeing you and Dave this summer. We will miss our get together when Dave barbequed some great chicken and we enjoyed food, and conversation. Karin stay strong and we will talk soon.

Karin - My heartfelt prayers and sympathy to you on the loss of Dave. Dave was a great guy and did a super job as member of executive board of the Hof Reunion Association. I thoroughly enjoyed the reunion in Traverse City in 2015
Dave is watching us all from above now and making sure we all behave.
