Dear David, Michael and Suzanne,

News of Dad's passing traveled very slowly and finally reached our local region on this date. Hence, please understand and excuse my lack of a more timely response in this forum. As I am certain you are aware, Dad was considered the dearest of all friends by my late parents, Bob and Gloria. Distance of geography never impacted their life long feelings of affection, known to be mutual. I had the pleasure of speaking with Dad on a few occasions over the years by telephone, to benefit firsthand from his warmth, charm and clever wit. He was such a kind, humorous and thoughtful man, not only by deed but evident through his writings on many topics. My deepest prayer is that your period of grief be minimal and may it become vastly overshadowed by the abundance of blessed memories each of you will often recall. I take comfort in the unwavering knowledge that from Dad's place on high, he is reunited with Mom, and with my parents as well.

Bob was a terrific human being. His intelligence and empathy for all were extreme. We all should mourn his loss.

As a neighbor and friend on the tennis court, ski slopes, golf course and poker table, I, along with many others cherished Bob's warmth and generous spirit over the many years. We are all his "Friends" and are better for having him in our lives. Thank you Bob Faber! Rest in Peace.
