I am sorry about your loss. Robert was a great help in finding my roots. The book he wrote helped me trace my family.

Many fine childhood memories at the Oxenger home with Rob, Charlotte and Peter. Rob and I kept in touch long after Peter and Charlotte's passing and was pleased to call Rob friend and childhood mentor. May such loving memories bring peace for Pete and Pam's sons and their families.
With warmest regards,

Our heart goes out to the Oxenger family. Our father Joe Hanosh taught math with Mr.O at Tappan for 30+ years. They were close colleagues and good friends. A bond like no other. Our families were very close too. Every time the Hanosh kids had a sport game at Forsythe, Mr.O was always there cheering us on. He was such a nice man. Our father and Mr.O were known as "Fred" and "Barney" on the bowling alley. I'm sure they are having a blast in heaven exchanging math puzzles, shooting the breeze, and bowling strikes with fist pumps. We luved Mr.O, he will be deeply missed. Sleep in Heavenly Peace!

Mr. Oxenger, you were one of my favorite teachers at Tappan. May God give you peace.

Bob was a loyal life time member and officer of American Legion Post 46. He was quietly proud of his Coast Guard service and was an interesting source of varied information gained from his subsequent professions as a pharmacist and math school teacher. It was a great pleasure to know him through my involvement with the American Legion as a Judge Advocate of Post 46- I only wish that I would have had the privilege to know him earlier.
