What a huge loss, he was such a big part of Michigan Gymnastics. He was a very caring man. He attended all home meets, supported the program financially and always transported the late head coach Dr. Newt Loken to all the meets in Coach Loken's latter years. You will be missed by myself and the entire Gymnastics community at Michigan. Kurt Golder Head Coach

Bob was a personal friend. We will miss his friendly, low key manner. I know there are many of his former students who benefitted from his teaching, not only in a specific sport but in developing admirable characteristics such as fair play, self-discipline, perseverance and performing well as one of a team and not for personal glory.

My condolences to his family.

I knew "Tumbles" at Pioneer were where I was both camper and later counselor. Mr Willoughby (Tumbles) was always, as I recall, the quiet confident Christian leader. He had depth of character and insight. He was quiet but when he talked one listened. I am glad to be able to count him among my Chrisitan role models. Judge RB Davis

Always enjoyed seeing Bob, Dave and Jim when they would be up at Cedar Campus fishing. Bob always had a kind and encouraging word. He loved creation and the One who created it all. He will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
