Roger was one of a kind. His death comes at the same time as our MAME conference this year. We will miss him at the President's luncheon.

Roger was a friend, mentor, co-worker and inspiration. His kindness, knowledge and love of the life he was living was evident within a few minutes of meeting him. He will be missed by so many of his fellow librarians.

RIP to a librarian's librarian. Roger was a fine educator and a true gentleman. He will be missed.

Roger became the Executive Director of MAME, the same year that I was President-Elect. He and I worked closely and I had such respect for his knowledge and support of libraries, but also for the kind hearted person he was. We will miss his leadership, his stories, his laughter, and most of all his heart. May you and Annette, forever be working in the libraries of heaven and sharing your laughter.

I met Roger when he taught a course in my library science program at Wayne State. As I grew to know Roger as a colleague I was impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, integrity and kindness. I was a better librarian for his guidance and enjoyed my time with him whenever we met after I graduated. I will miss him.

I will miss your intellect Roger. I first met Roger as a "green" Librarian at a MLC training and he sat by me and walked me though what I clearly didn't understand at the time. He was always there for me in my time of need during my career as a Librarian. Thanks for everything. God Bless and keep you and I know his light is shining upon you in Heaven for all you have done for me and so many others like me.
