Sandra Brown Obituary

Brown, Sandra Ann Chelsea, Michigan Age 77, died Friday, May 18, 2018 at Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born July 7, 1940 in Herkimer, New York, the daughter of Ziggy & Vera (Vespi) Cwalenski. Sandra was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Chelsea. She worked as a legal secretary for McLaughlin Law Firm for 28 years. Sandra was a member and past president of the Chelsea Jaycees/Jaycettes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved reading, keeping in touch with her friends through facebook, and following her grandchildren in sports and daily activities. Sandra was an avid fan of U of M football and their marching band. On October 17, 1959, she married Walter Brown in Little Falls, New York, and he survives. She is also survived by a son, Walter James Brown III of Chelsea; three daughters, Linda Marie Mollison of Ft. Myers, FL, Katherine Ann (John) Scott of Chelsea, Pamela Ann (Todd Ferry) Brown of Chelsea; a sister-in-law, Johan Greene; 8 grandchildren, Anthony Mollison, Ryan Scott, Shawn (Crystal) Scott, Joe Scott, Maddie Kemp, Chase Kemp, Carly Ferry, Hunter Ferry; 2 great-grandchildren, Theodore Scott, Riley Scott; a niece, Deborah (Joe) Green; a nephew, Shawn (Alycia) Spraker; and grand-niece and nephew, Sawyer and Evelyn Spraker. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Barbara Spraker-Angelicchio. A celebration of Sandra's life will be Sunday, June 3, from 2-5 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 14200 E Old US Hwy 12, Chelsea, MI 48118, in the social hall. Private burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to Chelsea Athletic Boosters.

So sorry to hear of Snndy's passing. My condolences to the family. Sandy was the secretary for my first job out of college at GE Utica. Drove thru a snow storm from Kentucky to attend her wedding in Little Fall on Thanksgiving weekend. She had a good sense of humor and enjoyable to be around. Dick Walther
