Our hearts and prayers go out to the Devine & Baglien family. I still remember the kindness Mrs. Susie showed me on my first trip to Michigan with her and her family.

Brent--Pam and I were very shocked and sad to learn of Sue's passing. It's been some time sine we've had the pleasure of your guys company but we have good memories of the times we spent together. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Devine's...
The loss of Susie is soaking in to those of us here in Ann Arbor, who love and treasure your family. How easy it is to remember Susie knocking on our door bashfully saying,.. "My Mom would like me to ask if we could borrow a cup of flour.. (or sugar)." Or, all of us kids, walking up your driveway in ice skates (to go skating at Burns Park), and especially the annual rite of spring of 30 kids playing Hide and Go Seek in your front and back yards. Those are only the start of how your family anchored a neighborhood transplanted from heaven.

Everyone of us Kennedy's share your solemn grief. And yes, our family's charity is also the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

Seeing Susie back up here was the fastest way to connect to all of our deep friendships. She was the most accepting and tolerant person of all of our many friends. She seemed to have the Bird's-eye's view of life and liked all that she saw.

Thank you for all of your family, especially for Susie, Anne and Dad John, who my Dad called, "the funniest man on Earth". (meaning humorous).

My family and I didn't know Sue as long as most but our short time knowing her was impactful. We met Sue, Brent, and her daughters just over five years ago when we moved Just next to them. Sue was so immediately and graciously welcoming to us as new neighbors. She made us feel quickly at home in the neighborhood and our kids loved having her and Brent as their new neighbors! I will never forget chatting with her across the fence as our dogs raced up and down barking at each other and the glasses of wine and conversation shared at one another's backyards. My deepest condolences to her family- she was an amazing woman and I, and my family, will miss her very very much.
