Sutherland, Ann 9/6/1926 - 4/6/2018 Frankfort, KY, formerly Ann Arbor, MI Ann Keaton Sutherland, September 6, 1926-April 6, 2018 passed away peacefully in Frankfort, Kentucky on Friday, April 6th. Ann was born in Charleston, WV to J. Paul and Christy C. Keaton. She graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1944. She graduated from Lake Erie College in Painesville, OH, in 1948. Ann married Tom Sutherland in Charleston, in August, 1948, and moved with him to Lexington, KY where he attended the University of Kentucky. They lived in Lexington until 1954 while Tom received his bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees. She worked in the University library while there. Their son, Stephen Paul, was born in 1952, in Lexington. Tom joined General Electric in 1954, in Evandale, OH, and he, Ann and Steve moved with General Electric to Schenectady, NY, Philadelphia, PA, and back to Schenectady. Their daughter, Judith Lynn, was born in Schenectady, in 1956. The family moved to Ann Arbor in 1960. Ann worked as a volunteer at the American Red Cross for two years. Ann and Tom lived here until Tom's death in May of 2017. Ann moved to Frankfort, KY to be near her daughter Judith. Survived by Stephen Paul (Laurie) Sutherland, Judith Lynn (Chris) Webb, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. At Ann's request, there will be no memorial service.
