What an inspiration, and a leader when it was still "acceptable" in some circles to write off both conservation imperatives and strong women. Thank you, Anne.

My favorite author, a friend to all things living. I visit the Adirondacks often and know she will forever be there with her beloved German Shepherds.

It wasn't until after I went to school in the Adirondacks that I read Anne's books. She lived a life that most of us can only dream of. May she rest in peace along her canine companions in a heaven that surely involves a beautiful lake in the wilderness. God Bless. -Karen N.Y.

The Woodswoman books were life-changing, even if you never stepped outside. They spoke so fully to who we can be when we act on our dreams. May Anne rest in peace.
