Blessings to the Spirit of the indomitable Dr. Anne LaBastille. I am proud to call her one of the guiding lights of my life. It is a comfort to know she now looks over every creature from Up Above.

Anne,
May you rest in Natures Garden with your beloved pets that you met at Rainbows Bridge. You will always be an inspiration to me and many others. Rest In Peace and fly like the eagles.

Anne,

you are unforgettable and will always have a presence on Bear Lake (Twitchell)May you rest knowing that your work for nature, the birds and the lakes was not in vain and will always be established. I am so glad to have been your neighbor down the lake under the mountain. May you rest in peace. Joslyn

May you rest in peace. Your writings gave me so much inspiration and pleasure over so many years. Most of your books I have read more than once, and never tire of them. I actually have never been to the Adirondacks, but hope to make a trip in the relatively near future. Thanks for sharing your life and experiences with us.

Anne,
Sadden to hear about your passing.
I remember meeting you for the first time at "Cats" home in Iowa City some thirty years ago.
I will always remember you and your step-mother as lasting friends.

I was shocked and saddened by the news that Anne LaBastille had passed away. I heard Anne speak in the late 70's in Albany, N.Y.. I had just read her book and was thrilled to be able to see her in person. Her independent life in the woods was something to be admired. I'm going to be camping in the Adirondacks this week and will have "Woodswoman" with me. Anne, Thanks for being such a vocal caretaker of our earth. Sue Nassau, NY

God Bless, when I saw you talk at a high school years ago, the way you interacted with the young ones was magical. People like you are few and far between, You will be so missed..

Many of the entries mirror my exact sentiments. So instead of echoes from me, just know Anne that you are sorely missed by me and I am thinking of you.
