We will not forget

To the family of Anne Marie, I am so very, very grateful for her actions. I am the mother of a 12 year old daughter with Down's Syndrome and Autism. Even though we were far away from the dangers in Newtown on that horrible day, it means so much to me that this woman was willing to sacrifice her own life for the safety of those most innocent. I imagine my own daughter in that situation, and it would bring me great comfort knowing that loving arms were wrapped around my child when she needed me and I couldn't be there. May God hold you now in His perfect peace.

It has been more than two months since the tragic loss. My prayer is that you continue to heal; let yourself grieve by talking to family and friends. Talking about your feelings to a “true companion” who will listen empathetically can bring a relief. (Proverbs 17:17) Writing your feelings or your memories of dear Anne Marie can be soothing to the soul. We all grieve differently – at our on pace and in our own way. May you continue to find comfort from those with kindred spirit as we await God's wonderful promises for tomorrow!

My DEAREST Mrs. Murphy, you ARE AND SHALL EVER BE MY HERO! If I am EVER in your situation, I TRULY HOPE that I respond as you did on December 14, 2012. You BRAVELY tried to shield your students from gunfire! You are now a Guardian Angel to ALL the precious babies called Home that day along with your fellow colleagues who are ALSO Guardian Angels! You are a CONSUMMATE EDUCATOR in ALL TRUE SESNSES of the WORDS! You are now teaching Heavenly Art and taking walks in a MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE! May God continue comforting ALL your family and friends until they join you in Heaven one day! I SHALL NEVER FOREGET YOU!

With deepest sympathy NOW AND FOREVER,
