Charles Delmar Roach, 85, passed away October 17, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. and Gertrude Noah Roach; brothers, Maurice L. Roach and William Richard Roach, and sister, Doris Roach Young. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Evelyn Sims Roach; sons, William Richard "Ricky" Roach (Katherine), Curtis Randall "Randy" Roach (Angela) and Charles Kirkland "Kirk" Roach; grandchildren, Amy Davis (Will), Christina Roach, Brittany Skinner (Adam) and David Roach; great- granddaughter, Emma Brooke Davis; a host of nieces and nephews. Charles graduated from Alexandria High School in Alexandria, Alabama in 1949. He joined the Navy in 1950. He was aboard the USS Harry E. Hubbard DD748 during the Korean War. He was a member of the Stemley Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. He was a huge Alabama Fan. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 10-11 a.m. at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, you can make donations to Concord United Methodist Church, 85 Concord Church Rd., Talladega, AL 35160 and the charity of your choice.
