Anniston - Funeral services for Mrs. Dessie Mae Bible, 92, of Anniston, will be at 11 a.m. today, June 13, 2013, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Reverend Alan Jenkins and Tim Rollins officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Bible passed away on June 11, 2013. Mrs. Bible was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church #2. She was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon Edward and Nancy Elizabeth Bearden White, and her siblings, Ocia V. Noles, Minnie Mulkey, Mattie Currie, Viola Bible, Harvey Bearden, William Bearden, Iverson Bearden, Monroe Bearden, Silven Bearden, and George Bearden. Mrs. Bible is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marvin James Bible, of Anniston; her sister, Evis Lindley, of Wedowee, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Lindley, Eddie Lindley, Gerald Huddleston, Cleophas Bearden, Austin Norton, and Kermit White. The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health Care, New Beacon Hospice, and especially her caregivers, Amy Tice, Amy Wernicke, Shelia Zydowicz, and Shirley Forbus.
