I have loved Dolores for so many years it is hard to count back to when I first met her as we were piano students of Mr. Thompson in 1964. She was a brilliant pianist and an inspiration to me. Wish there was a copy of her playing the Apassionata Sonata somewhere so I could hear her play at least one more time. I thought she was the best pianist I ever heard in live playing. She was a wonderful person in her heart and was a great beauty.....one of a kind that we don't get to see very often in our lives. She made us all laugh and feel so good about ourselves. Such a friend will be remembered as long as I live. I will try to practice Dolores. (She encouraged me in my search for a piano and told me where to go get one and what to buy....gave me the opportunity to spurge and it saved my live after I lost my husband---had not played in over 40 years. When I played a few notes for her when I visted, she went into teacher mode---"Use the pedal, more pedal." I can hear her say it. Someone out there must have tapes of her; would love to have one. I had hoped to have her and John visit and had visions of her playing my piano, but her health was never good enough for her to visit. Again, will love her always.

For my favorite uncle-I pray for peace, comfort and love with all my heart! I pray for the same for my three wonderful cousins and families! I wish for sunshine, a cool breeze and a beautiful butterfly! I know you feel my love being with you at all times. Stay loving and kind just as you are, my beautiful blessed family!! God brought Dolores peace and I'm positive He has the same plan in mind for all of us. Peace and love from my heart and soul to your whole family. Love you more than words can say! May God bless you and keep you-Your loving cousin,Sherry

I met Dolores on our first day of first grade when we were seated at the same little table in Mrs. Garmon's class. We remained dear friends for many years. We had sleepovers, played with our Ginny dolls and later double dated. She was in my first wedding. Sadly as I made many moves away from Jacksonville we lost touch. The last time I saw her was in 1996 when my Father passed away. Her Father conducted his funeral and Dolores played the organ. We have many regrets in our lives, one of my greatest ones is that we did not keep in touch. Rest In Peace my dear friend.

You lit up the life of one of my best friends, John Basil. For that I will be eternally grateful. I wish more people actually understood this. It'll be a while, but we'll get to visit again.
