Funeral service for Mr. Gerald Glenn Green, 86 of Jacksonville, will be held, Saturday January 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Williams. The Reverend Chris Thomas will officiate and burial will be in the adjoining Cemetery. His family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm at the church. Mr. Green passed away January 23, 2018 at his home. Mr. Green was a native and longtime resident of Calhoun County. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Williams and a Veteran of the US Air Force. He and his wife, Rachel, loved to travel. His home was decorated with the photos that he loved to take. At one time, he was a contractor in Georgia. He would build the homes that he and Rachel would live in and he loved to work in his yard. Mr. Green is preceded in death by his wife Rachel Flemming Green; parents, "Bud" and Rebecca Green; brothers, Perry Green, "Happy" Green, William Green. Mr. Green is survived by nieces and caregivers, Regina Honts (Les), Donna Thomas (Brent); nephew and caregiver, Roger Green (Jo); nieces and nephews, Lane Green, Erik Green, Lisa Creel, other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Erik Green, Lane Green, Roger Green, Brent Thomas, Ty Green, Wendell McGinnis. Special thanks to special caregivers, Priscilla Martin, Ryan and Cassie Rush and Alacare Hospice.
