Imogene "Granny" Lambert Obituary

The funeral service for Mrs. Imogene "Granny" Lambert, 81, of Alexandria, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Alexandria Valley Church of God with the Reverend Andy Lambert and the Reverend David Duke officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Mrs. Lambert passed away on March 29, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Lambert was a native of Georgia but lived in Calhoun County most of her life. She had been a seamstress for over 40 years and worked for Oxford Fashions and various other companies over the years. She loved sewing and spending time with her family. She was hard working, dedicated to her family and loved going to her church, Alexandria Valley Church of God. Mrs. Lambert is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Lambert; 12 sisters and brothers, Maudie, Hazel, T.L., Lester, Albert, Inez, Walt, Paul, J.T., Estel, Frances, and Jewel; four brothers-in-law, Howard, Wendell, C.A. and Roy. Mrs. Lambert is survived by her sons, David E. (Karon) Lambert and Tommy L. (Shannon) Lambert; grandchildren, Andy (Kerri) Lambert, Jesse (April) Lambert, Lucretia Lambert, Zach Lambert, Whitney Lambert, and Carlie Lambert; great-grandchildren, Elijah Jones, Blakely Burgdoefer, Hunter Morgan, Kati Lambert, Charlie Lambert, Gracie Morgan, Ryan Lambert and Jayce Lambert; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Brown, Shirley Graham, Elaine (Gerald) Estes, Gail Lambert and Helen Lambert; brothers-in-law, Bobby Joe Lambert and Wayne (Zip) Lambert; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rick Causey, Jeff Lambert, Derek Harrell, Keith Crossley, Mike Pearl, and Jerry Latham. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.klbrownmemorychapel.com. K.L. Known Imogene pretty much all of my life. She was a very generous person and a great friend to Mother. So sorry for your loss David and Andy. I know she will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear about Mrs. Imogene's passing. My dad worked with Otis her husband for many years at Fink Packing Co. and I am cousin to her niece Wanda. I send my prayers to all of the family at this time. May God be with all of you.
