Col. Wamsley was not only a great science teacher, he ran the audio/video section of the library. My exposure to television cameras and recorders set up my life profession. The experience under him at JHS was key in getting my first job in television. I have been in the industry now for 43 years, thanks to him, and have the honor of developing NASA video systems, for both ground and space systems. I have never forgotten where and who started me down this path. God Speed Col. Wamsley.

I was one of those students from the sixties that enjoyed "The Colonel's" science classes. About 30 years later I have the opportunity to meet him again and he called me by name before I could introduce myself. He was an interesting and amazing individual. My sympathy to his family.

Col. Wamsley left a lasting impression on me when I was a young man in Jacksonville High School. I still remember the skills I learned from him about audio-visual equipment. I was also inspired by his self-confidence, and discipline, that I pursued a career in the United States Army. Thank you Col. Wamsley for all the great memories.
