Lona H. Pitts Obituary

Funeral service for Lona H. "Penny" Pitts, 54, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Pitts passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her husband, John W. Pitts; two sons, Nathan Williams and his wife, Kayla, and Ryan Pitts; four grandchildren, Mallory Williams, Ali Spray, Ivy Williams, and Seth Williams; her mother, Brenda Flor; three brothers, Michael Hanford, Eddie Hanford, and Steve Hanford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Flor. Pallbearers will be Joshua L. Johnson, James W. Webb, Justin Sanford, Curtis McCants, Kyle Price and Nick Bowles. A graduate of Saks High School Class of 1980, she was employed by the Anniston Police Department for 26 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and scrapbooking.
