On Thursday, March 31, 2016 Mary A. Whaley Brown, formerly Mary A. Thompson died in Chicago, Ill. She was born to Lorenza and Alice Thompson on Sept . 8, 1939 she was the second child of six children. She joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church with her family. Mary attended 12th Street Elementary School and Cobb Ave High School class of 1957. Her Transition service will be held today at A.A. Rayner & Sons Funeral Home in Chicago,Ill. She leaves behind her five children; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters; three brothers and a host of relatives and friends.
