Mike,

I am saddened on hearing of your Father's passing....I remember with fondness the National League Phillies, with and magic Sposa-Oliver combination both on the field and in the front office.....how we did not go undefeated I will never know (no actually I do, my pithing and Roger Miller). Our families thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.....We love you guys.....and will never forget that idyllic place where we spent our youth....Farmington....

Who will ever forget Tony Sposa. He was very Important to me as a teenager. Not only did I listen to him on WRNL for years. I also went to his Richmond Broadcast Academy. That got me a job in radio under his tutelage and more life experience than I can thank him for. My mom and dad loved to listen to him and for me as a first generation Italian American he was a great role model. I had lost touch with Tony over the years but his funny laugh and personality will always be with me. He always had time for you. He will be missed greatly.

I worked for Tony back in 1971 at WRNL. I have many fond, fun, memories of Tony and Chuck Deel. I was barely 20 years old at the time...Tony made me feel welcome and part of the broadcast team . He was certainly a true gentleman and will be missed by many.
