To The Loved ones of
Cpl Christopher Monahan
A True American Hero

I'm Spending Christmas With Jesus Christ This Year!

I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars
reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular
Please wipe away a tear
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here.

For I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring
For it is beyond description
To hear an angel sing.

I know how much you miss me
For I feel your breaking heart...
But through our memories so dear
We're never far apart.

I can't tell you of the Splendor
Or the peace here in this place.
Can you just imagine Christmas
With our Savior face to face?

I'll ask him to light your spirit
As I tell him of your love.
So then pray for one another
As you lift your eyes above.

So please let your hearts be joyful
And let your spirit sing.
For I'm spending Christmas in Heaven
And I'm walking with the King.

May God Bless you as you honor the memory of your loved One Christopher
We are so sorry your Blue Star has turned to Gold

Please accept my deepest regrets and heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your son. Although I did not have the privilege and honor of knowing him, as a fellow American and a Marine Corps Veteran, I feel compelled to write and offer you my heartfelt condolences and sincerest regrets. I would also like to extend to you the appreciation of a very grateful nation for your son's courage, devotion to duty, and unswerving patriotism. As much as we can never fully know the true extent of your anguish and suffering we do grieve along with you. We grieve at the loss of every brave American Service Member, and thank them and their families for all their sacrifices and for defending the freedoms we so enjoy.

Be assured we salute him and honor his fine memory. He is a true American hero and he shall never be forgotten. He will live on and be remembered along with all those young men and women who throughout history have given that last full measure of devotion and sacrifice. Only by keeping his memory alive can we truly pay tribute to his greater glory and celebrate the liberties he in turn has preserved.

Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers (ps4fs@charter.net) is an organization with groups throughout the country who work to send handmade prayer shawls and/or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one while serving our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church would like to honor your son's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a prayer gift which will be mailed to you. If you are interested, please contact me at gramman@comcast.net with the names and addresses of those who would like to receive one and which gift they would like to receive. We will send our gift as soon as possible. Also, if you know of any other families who are grieving the loss of a loved on who died while serving our country, please pass along my e-mail address. May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Lynne
