You probably don't remember me, I was Mark's girlfriend forever way back when.I have such fond memories of your family. Mark told me your mother is ill and I am so very sorry. Your parents were always wonderful to me and I will always love and respect them
Two years have passed since my father died. I think of him every day and look at his picture next to my bed every night. I will carry him in my heart forever. His example of facing life without fear and complaints but with strength and courage, and constant love for his family will be my guiding light.
Thank you Gary. Your father was always someone my father could depend on. The name Vincent Cardinale was highly respected in our home.
Just found out about last years passing of Andrew. while double checking address for mailing Christmas card. I know that Andrew was one of my fathers very best friends. I didn't get to visit the Cirlincione's very many times, but always enjoyed the family. I'm sure Andy has met up with my dad in heaven. My condolences to the family. I know he was a great man!
He was a great guy. We would have come to the wake if we had known. We only learned of his passing when someone called us the other day who saw the obituary. I wish we had known.
To the Cirlincione family: I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather. He sounds like a remarkable guy; such lovely tributes in this guest book. Thinking of you.
-your Bongiovanni cousin Julie
My grandfather was one of the biggest influences on my character growing up and even today. I am daily reminded of him through my own habits and thoughts. Many of the things I say and choices I make stem from my relationship with him growing up and even as an adult. He had a way of saying things that stuck with me for the rest of my life. He was wise, kind, and caring as well as strong both mentally and physically. Grandpa was a loving role model for the entire family and will be greatly missed for the remainder of my days.
I have known grandpa for longer than both of my blood related grandfathers. Seeming to have a serious demeanor, I loved when we would get him to smile and even laugh. He always raced to grandmas side to pull out her chair, help her up and get her a drink. I will miss hearing him and grandma yell at each other and then laugh as they did. He has instilled great values in his children and hence grandchildren and great grandchildren. I'm very proud to belong to this family and am very honored to have the Cirlincione name, he is a huge part of that and I already miss him!!!!
Andy, my cousin, was a true hero who served our country at home and abroad. Over the years, my father ( Frank Cirlincone) and Andy would often play pranks on one another and enjoyed each other's company. My sister Carole and I have fond memories of Andy stopping by our apartment in Vailsburg while on duty with the Newark Police Department. He would let us sit in his police car and he always had a smile and a nice word for us. To us, he was larger than life. We will never forget him. Mary and Andy raised a beautiful family together. We offer our prayers for Andy and his family. May God bless all of you.
Godfather Andy was an intimidating figure, but as others have said, he was a loving, caring person. I am honored that Andy was my godfather. I was fortunate to see him a few years ago when he and Mary came to visit my mother recovering from cancer treatment. While Olga, Cindy and I are sadden by Andy's passing, we know he is in a good place. Sorry we could not join you in celebrating Andy's life.
My father was a paragon of strength, decisive action, and selfless love. He was my protector, my role model and my hero. And not just for me, but for my brothers, his grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many others who knew him. He taught me that true strength is not just physical, but depends more on the kind of character one cultivates throughout life. I learned through him, that if we live our life with strong convictions based on solid virtues, we may rise to any occasion, and even inspire others through our actions. His love, caring and devotion to his family as well as dedication to his profession were examples I strive to emulate in my own life. How fortunate I was to have such a wonderful father!
TO THE CIRLINCIONE FAMILY, ACCEPT MY CONDOLENCES ON ANDY'S PASSING. NOT A PERSON TO TRIFLE WITH OR TRY TO GET OVER ON, BUT GIVING AND UNDERSTANDING THE PEOPLE THAT NEEDED HELP HE WAS ALWAYS THERE TO HELP ME OR OTHER OFFICERS WITHOUT BEING ASKED.
I DONT HAVE TO TELL HIS FAMILY BUT HE WAS A GREAT GUY AND AN ASSET TO THE NPD, THE WORLD WILL BE A LESSER PLACE WITHOUT HIM. I AM SURE YOU ARE ALL VERY PROUD OF HIM AND RIGHFULLY SO. GOD BLESS HIM.
I wish I could be there, but please know you are all in my heart and thoughts and prayers.
Love you all,

The Matarazzo family
To the Cirlincione Family,
My deepest condolences. I worked with Andy in the Newark Public Defender's Office in the early 1970s. I was one of a group of new investigators that Andy and his fellow retired Newark detectives and officers mentored and endlessly entertained with their stories of policing in Newark. One of my fondest memories was hearing from my father, an attorney, that he had spoekn with Andy's brother Vince at a bar association meeting and that somehow Andy's endorsement of me had made it to Vince and subsequently to my father, who was very proud.
He was great and generous colleague. May he rest in peace.
Love you Grandpa, we miss you.
Tracy, Bill, and Brandon
