Remember those credit union dinner dances? I was dancing with him one time, when he went on and on and on about how he was wearing a designer suit. He finally got me to ask who the designer was -- with that grin he always had, he said "It's a French Designer, Pen'ay" and open his jacket to show the J.C. Penney label.
I don't remember ever being with George when he wasn't telling a joke. And he could tell jokes. He never telegraphed the punch line, and even if you had heard the joke a thousand times before, somehow, it was new and funny when George told it.
George will always live on in my memories of good times, back in the day.
