My condolences to Art, Sue and family. Many fond memories will live on in my heart; quarters for pepsi's out of the old soda machine, shooting baskets outside the shop, shooting pool and racing cars in the basement, crabbing off the pileings, learning to water ski behind the "orange screamer", christmas cookies and Glogg shared by the neighborhood at the Olsen christmas celebration, and later, a couple dinners to just catch up. You will live in the hearts of many. May you rest in peace.

John was a truly remarkable person.

I first met John when I started keeping my boat at the Olsen yard in 1982. Since that time I think I have talked to John about 40 times, the last time was two weeks ago when we talked about the NMHA Rendez Vous and pipe lines.

The special thing about John is that I think I can remember most, if not all, of the conversations I have had with John. To me, to meet John in the yard or anywhere else always was a special treat.

I always felt like there was more meaning and insight in talking to John than just about any person I have met. And even weirder, the conversations generally started with boats, which is always good, but then drifted into completely unexpected spots and then ended with a wry and insightful comment by John. Our conversations were never very long, but they always gave me food for thought on my way home.

I will miss John. I am at a loss.

I am sure his family and his many friends will miss him even more and I wish all of them strength and John's grace.

Our condolences to Artie and his family. The best job I ever had was working there with John, Olav and Kenny. I learned so much and will never forget them. I will miss my visit to the boat yard on my trips to NJ.

My condolences to the family. John was a great person and took very good care of me and my boat for years. I am heart broken he will not be there to help me in the future. You don't find many people with his type of personality. My boat, Lil Provo, will also miss the care he gave her. God Bless and may the lord opens his arms to you.
