Lillian S. Atwell
AGE: 94 • Somerville
Lillian S. Atwell, 94, died January 19, 2013. Lillian was born in Peapack-Gladstone, NJ and was a longtime resident of Somerville before moving to Bridgewater in 2008. She was an employee of Somerset Trust Company in Somerville for over 25 years, retiring in 1980. She was a former member of the 2nd Reformed Church in Somerville. Lillian enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and loved to read. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband John Atwell who passed away in 1959, a brother Wilton Swick and a sister Aileen Holman. Surviving are her children, John Atwell and his wife JoAnn, Virginia Winfield and her husband Robert and Linda Pannone and four grandchildren, Anthony, JR, Lindsay and Carolyn.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am Wednesday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave., Somerville. Interment will follow at New Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in Lillian's name to the charity of one's choice. I enjoyed working with Lillian at Somerset Trust in 1972 and '73, and I remember her fondly as a sweet, gentle, caring woman. My sympathy and prayers to you and your family.

I am so sorry to read of your mother's passing. I don't know if you remember me from high school, but we were friendly and I know you lived on Mercer Street.
