My Mom. So special.
I'm so lucky to have her as my mom.
She was always there for me,
to lift me up when I was down.
As a child she, by her example she taught me many things. To respect one another other, with honesty, kindness and love. And to forgive with a loving heart. (Like the time when she forgave me for setting her curtains on fire)
In my younger years, when I became ill, she was by my side.
Day after day, she was there to give me the courage and strength to get well.
In my teens with so many paths to take in life she guided me and kept me on the right track. One way or another, she made sure I did the right thing.
She also taught me many other things that only a loving mother could do. From cooking technics to how to keep a clean house. She even taught me a special Italian American language, that only my family could understand.
When we went back to Italy for a visit the people there didn't understand what the heck we were talking about.
And as a grown up she would calm my stress with even just a phone call.
I'll miss those calls to home.
I'll miss that gentle voice.
I'll miss you Mom.
You'll always be in Im in my heart.
