I love Carl and he was a wonderful brother in law and friend. Always kind and friendly to all. You will be greatly missed!

I worked for DWR Oroville Field division, I got to know Carl when Dale Miner worked there with him years ago. We would help Sutter Yard sometimes during floods and other interactions. I always liked Carl, he seemed like a great guy. I don't think I ever saw him upset about anything, he was always nice and even tempered. Hope he enjoyed his retirement!!

My prayers and condolences go out to the family during this difficult time. May God give you comfort and strength.

Many of my childhood memories are of our families interactions. Too many to list but my favorite is when our parents, Worley's extended families, and friends would get together in the living quarters at the back of the store on Saturday nights to play Canasta throughout the night. Carl would haul all the kids to the all night, dollar a car load drive-in movie in Yuba City in the "woody" station wagon along with a case of sodas and bags of chips and off we'd go to return when most of us started falling asleep where we'd find the card game still going. His dad must have rewarded him well to do this and I will always remember how kind Carl was to us kids.
My condolences to all the "Worley" families for your loss. And I thank you all for the great memories of growing up in Sutter in the 50's. It was our Mayberry.
Sincerely, Carlene (Lapham) Ault
