Chas,

Sorry, I never told you
All I wanted to say
And now it's too late to hold you
'Cause you've flown away
So far away

Never had I imagined
Living without your smile
Feeling...knowing you hear me
It keeps me alive

And I know you're shining down on me from Heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day

Darlin' I never showed you
Assumed you'd always be there
And I took your presence for granted
But I always cared
And I miss the love we shared

And I know you're shining down on me from Heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day

Although the sun will never shine the same,
I'll always look to a brighter day
Lord, I know, when I lay me down to sleep
You will always listen when I pray

And I know you're shining down on me from Heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day

Sorry, I never told you...

I've felt overwhelmed with grief since I spoke to Marvin last week. It literally felt like a dagger to my heart seeing your name on the gravestone Friday. I know you know how difficult this is for me, and that I'm trying so hard to accept this with courage and grace. Sometimes I feel like I'll never stop crying. Now I know why I've felt like I've had an angel watching out for me. Oh, Chas, I'd give anything for it not to be you. I will miss you until the day my body dies and we meet again...one sweet day. I will love you forever.

Always,
Betsy

Hey Pop- well the A's did ya proud. They gave the Tigers the fight for your life. Katie and I went to the Coliseum for game five. What a great crowd that showed up. You would have loved it. Had an extra ticket and that was your seat for this game. This adventure with the A's made me baseball buddies with Katie and had a great time the game Hannah was able to go to as well. However, just like life it all came to an abrupt end. But, just like life the moments that i had with H&K will stand still in eternity. I have you to thank for that. You were a good man and for this brief shinning moment in a miracoulous season for the A's I really felt reconnected to you. I look at your picture everyday and will NEVER forget you. P.S. The A's are going to get 'em next year.
I Love You!!!!
Mike

Hey papa chuck Katie and I went to our first A's game with dad on Saturday. He kept talking and reminiscing about your guys great memories you created at those games. He sure does miss you and so do I. Even though I never got to spend a lot of time with you the memories I have of you are happy sweet ones. You were a great grandpa. Always and forever in my heart.
