Mary Jane, we are so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
I always enjoyed when Duke would come in to the clubhouse at Plumas lake golf course and order his French Vanilla Mocha. We would sit and talk about the races for a minuet or two. I am going to miss those talks. I'm so sorry about your families loss.
A great man will be missed by all who knew him. I was blessed to have known him. Rest in peace Duke. My condolences to the entire Griego Family.
So Sorry to hear of your loss, our loss too. He was such a good man. I've had breakfast at the diner every Sunday for several years now, and I was easting my breakfast with Duke last Sunday. When I'd ask how he was, he would almost always say, "I'm still kickin'". He loved life and was determined to enjoy every day of it. I don't think I've ever seen him in a bad mood or upset. Maybe he just kept those emotions for other times, but not for his friends and customers. I miss him already!
So many good memories of a great friend. He was always smiling. Nancy and family, he loved you all so much. He won't be forgotten.

To Nancy and the Griego Family:
So sorry to hear of Duke's death. He was a great person. He was very civic minded, loved Olivehurst and Yuba County. He was a tremendous supporter of Yuba County law enforcement and the citizenry of Yuba County. He will be missed by his many friends, neighbors and members of the bi-county community. He loved his wife and all his family. He was a very generous person to those who were "down and out" and needed a little something to get back on their feet.
Nancy, Duke, yourself and all your family will be in our prayers. I know you will cherish the memories of a loving husband and devoted father.
I am so sorry to hear of Duke's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and all Duke's extended restaraunt family. My family and I would eat at Duke's when my daughters were very young. Duke was always in a good mood, I can't remember a cross word out of his mouth. Duke is now your own very Special Guardian Angel watching over all his lived ones.
My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time.
