Top Sergeant Todd (then, "Gunny" Todd) was Quality Control Chief in the maintenance department of HMM-263 during our shared tours at Marble Mountain marine Air Facility, near Danang. As Maintenance Control Officer, I often worked closely with him in deciding the status of aircraft (helicopters). I admired his methodical, caring methods and exacting attention to detail in his work. I feel certain that his efforts resulted in the saving of lives and machinery, not to mention the functioning of an efficient maintenance program. I think of him, and have thought of him, often since 1966.
