HAP Richie was a close friend for many years. His spirit of loving life , his wife and family was combined with his astute sense of business in a remarkable fashion. He was highly respected by all his social friends and his industry associates. His most important characteristic for me was his flair for fun. Hap and I spent many hours on the golf course ( and in some 19th hole meetings )where his sense-of-humor always made the time " fly by". His sense of fairness in all situations was also a trait I admired. My wife and I will miss him tremendously.

I'm sorry to hear of Hap's passing. His brother-in-law Gerry was my little league coach and I have fond memories of Hap coming to our practices to help. Having a Pro player was a big deal to a bunch of 12 year olds. Hap took the time to work with each of us individually and his love if the game was obvious. My prayers to his family.
