My brother Jimmie cared about family. He was tenderhearted and loving. Jimmie loved his wife, Kathy Jo, all the family and friends and he appreciated life. He had this wonderful laugh. Jimmie loved helping friends. He was very special. There was peace in his voice when he said, I'm going home.
I love you Jimmie. May God comfort Kathy Jo and all of us.

My brother Jim, I'll always remember our phone conversations a couple times a week in the last several months before God called you home. At the end of our sharing you would say, Say bye now. After hanging up I always had this feeling, a kind of envy. Wow! You had such a sweet, sweet surrender and acceptance that the Lord had everything on schedule.
You always had a man-sized laughter. It was so natural, without holding back. A laughter that said, I'm happy, at peace, my life has taught me well. No need to search. You had found contentment. You said, Don't feel so sad. I'm going home.
We always ended each call with prayer. You would say, Ray, I've always believed in God. So, my brother Jim, until I see you again, I will remember you with fondness and a smile.
