To all of Karen's children and grandchildren,
It was a pleasure being Karen's neighbor. I got to know her and love her especially in her later years as she was home bound and I had the opportunity to serve her in many ways. Whether it was taking her and Annie for a wheelchair ride around the block, or cleaning up and mowing her back yard (so I could hopefully find Shelly (my box turtle),or bringing her fresh, homemade bread, or whatever I thought she would enjoy, or my husband fixing her TV and taking out her garbage, she always appreciated our efforts and was so gracious. We are so sorry for your loss. We will miss our dear Karen! Love, Maureen & Jerry Reiersen

Karen will be missed. I worked with her for many years. She was the nicest person I knew and good to everyone, she truly cared about all kids and especially those she worked with and her children. I loved her stories of fishing and clam digging. She will truly be missed!!
