I am sad. Lucy was such a great example of how to live for Christ. She was a great teacher and a loving friend. We McKinley teachers thought of ourselves as family so we are missing our sister very much. Love to all of you! Ernestine Hepworth

We are so sorry for your loss of Lucy, but know that she is restored in the presence of Jesus! She was a shining example of God's love, caring, and kindness. Her memory will live on in all of the many lives that she touched! God bless you and give you comfort and strength during this difficult time. All our love.

So sorry for the loss of such an amazing Lady. She is dancing in Heaven now. May Jesus comfort you all at this time. She was my 1st grade teacher and a wonderful one too...I can still remember her painstaking hours doing all of our silouhettes. Gone but never forgotten.

Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa

Lucy has often reminded me of Mother Teresa...always smiling, surrounded by children, and kind beyond compare. She was a lovely woman, and I consider myself a better person for having known her. I'll always remember what she told me when I once drove her to the airport...she said, "If I ever get pulled over, I'll just ask the officer, 'what's the matter? Am I the only one you could catch?'" Still makes me smile.

To all who love and miss her, may the sweet photos, funny stories, and happy memories bring you peace.

What a strong, kind and patient person. We are never ready to let our loved ones leave us even if it is only for a short time in the grand scheme of the Lord's time. Knowing she is happy and busy on the other side with her sweetheart is such a peaceful thing to know. May the Lord's sweet spirit of peace be with you in that great knowledge. Ken and Maren Fochs
