Melva Flurry, 80, of Yuba City, CA, passed on December 2, 2018 in Marysville, CA.
Melva was born in Leedy, OK to John and Stella Newton on March 5, 1938. She worked at Pacific Bell for 15 years. She was a master quilter, jewelry maker and loved to cook.
Melva is survived by her daughter Fern Wright (Terry), her sister Sharon Black (Jeff), brother Ron Newton, sister Ginger Thompson, 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Flurry, son Jim Roberts, and 4 siblings.
A graveside service will be held at Sierra View Memorial Park on December 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.

I worked with Melva many years ago. I retired not long after she did. She was always a character at work and kept things interesting at all times. I've seen her around from time to time and was surprised when I read her obituary. Rest in Peace Melva
