Robert's father was Robert Roy Staudenraus
18951966
BIRTH 17 SEP 1895 • Oakland, Douglas, Oregon, USA
DEATH 28 DEC 1966 • Stockton, San Joaquin, California, United States
Robert Roy Staudenraus was my great-uncle, born in Oakland, Oregon.
Our great grandfather was Robert Staudenraus born in 1862 in Germany.
He married Isabell or Isabella Bates.
They had several children (10) including
my gradfather Earl Joseph Staudenraus.
Three of their children were born in Oakland, Oregon~ the town I now live in! Strange coincidence that I would move here. I was born in Oakland, California in 1950! I was flabbergasted to find out that I had ancestors born in the small town (under 900 people) where I live.
I am still trying to find information on Isabell Bates and her lineage.
It appears the family left Dakotas to head to Oregon~stayed here for several years and then went back to South Dakota.
Robert Staudenraus, great grandfather, actually died in Lynnwood, WA so at some point he headed west again.
I am sorry to hear of the loss of one of our family members of the Staudenraus clan. Please accept my sincere condolences.
I hope some of this family information may be of interest to you.
God bless you all.
