Janice (Jan) was born to James Houghton Andrews and Ollie Mae (Beaufort) Andrews in Seminole, OK on April 16, 1939. Janice passed away unexpectedly of complications and heart failure. She moved to California with her parents during the war years and remained here between Oakland and Modesto, CA.
She was married to Thomas (Tom) Evans for 47 years. Janice resided in the Bay Area for 34 years working in the Semi-Conductor Industry as a Failure Analysis Tech for Riga Analytical Lab in Santa Clara, CA. After retiring in 1999 Tom and Jan moved to Grass Valley, CA to their dream home. After health issues forced them to the flat land (below the snow) they ended up in Plumas Lake, CA to their first new home ever.
Jan was blessed with two children. Her marriage to Jimmy Gibson of OK, she had a daughter Tina (David) Mata, of Grass Valley, CA. In her marriage to Donald Chapman, she had a son Jack (Cynthia) of Antioch, CA. Jan's greatest gift was her children, but grand, and great grandchildren were so precious to her. Grandchildren Jimmy and Michael Chagoya of San Jose, CA, and Jack Chapman Jr. and Jessica (Billy) Moitoza of Antioch, CA. The great, great, grandchildren are Jimmy Choyga Jr. and Mason Michael Choyga of San Jose and Adeline Gray and Jameson Atticus Mostosia of Antioch, CA.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and a brother Wesley Andrews of Hayward, Wes's wife Mary, their daughter Kathy Andrews of Hayward, brother-in-law James Evans of Muskegon, MI.
She is survived by her brother's son Andy (Kate) and his family of Newark, CA and a niece Jennifer Andrews of Forest Knolls, CA, sisters-in-law Judith (Jack) Kneel of Muskegon, Linda Merriall of Oakley, CA, and Diana Pistorus (Craig) of Dunsmier, CA, sister-in-law Rosalie (Jim) Evans of Muskegon, CA. And (an unofficially sister-in-law of 50 years) niece Susan and Lisa Gross of Roseville, CA. And many more nieces and nephews.
A funeral service and celebration of life will be Friday, February 23, 2018 at Lakeside Colonial Chapel, 830 D Street, Marysville, CA 95901. Service will be at 11:00 am. Following the service a celebration of life will be held immediately following at the Laughing Lotus, 103 C Street, Marysville, CA.
