Alyson brought me into our PEO chapter when I first moved to Columbus, around 2001. She was a great president-- lively, friendly, welcoming. We served as officers together for many years. That supportive atmosphere which she was key in creating really helped me feel at home in this new city. I recall that we even took a Pilates class together! I loved that she liked trying new things, reading new books, meeting new people. She was wonderful too as I started to have kids, with Lucy Myrtle arriving a few years behind Zoe and Lily. She passed us your crib (among other lovely baby things), and we used it well! Motherhood can be a bewildering new job. Having the support of a community of caring women such as Alyson made a huge difference for me. I am happy to have known her. You are in my thoughts.

Alyson was one of the kindest people I know. She did not hold on to any hurts but was forgiving; always striving to see the good in other people. A really good person. For many years we shared our children growing up together and she always cared for mine as her own. Alyson felt more like extended family rather than a friend. In truth she was both to me and my girls. She will always be in my heart. I love you and will miss you Alyson! We love you Mark, Zoe and Lily! Praying and sending love and hugs to you at this very difficult time.
