I think about you so much! Today is not good for me because Justin is meeting with a recruiter and he says he had to go fight like you did and finish where you left us! We all spent lots of time together and Justin looks at you as an older brother! We miss you very much but we are also very proud of what you became and always our hero Brandon! You'll always be in my heart!

I love you Brandon and miss you every day... I use to look so forward to your emails and our conversations online while you were deployed. Every summer, every birthday, every day will never be the same without your smile and laugh and sarcastic comments, :) it appears you picked up that bad habit of sarcasm from me as well as other things :) I try so hard each day to be tough for you now, but the tears always creep back into the day somehow. I know you are in a much happier place than you were. Our conversations of how much you hated being in afghanistan with the conditions there and how we joked about the one thing you missed more than family was grass on the ground. I told you in our very last conversation i would mail you green crayons to draw grass on the walls next to your bunk you slept in. you laughed and we talked about taking you out for a late birthday steak dinner. you said steak dinner sounded so awesome ! you couldnt wait. I hope God kept up my promise of getting you a steak dinner and a walk in the grass when you got home. I love you forever! Loving you, watching you grow and seeing you smile when we were together, even when i kicked your butt at need for speed drift lol. being loved by you and being a part of every year of your life, from baby to man was one of the brightest spots in my life. You were someone my daughter looked up to and I will miss you every day. You have and always will hold a special place in my heart only for you:) Love always, Aunt Sandra "fastlane" lol no one knows it was you that gave me that nickname years ago & you made sure it stuck lol Till we meet again I will be here taking care of things you wanted me to:)

As the days and weeks pass,the healing will happen and as you return to life's routine, you will still have those days where you just don't think you can go on, lean on your friends and family and feel the love and support that they offer. There are so many that send their love and support that you don't know, but their hearts hurt for you and appreciate the sacrifice that Brandon and his family have given.

Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers ([email protected]) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your son's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected] with the names and addresses and what they would like to receive. We will send them as soon as possible. Also, if you know of any other families who are grieving the loss of a loved one who died serving our country, please pass along my e-mail address, as our organization can no longer get family contacts through the military. May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Lynne

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Brandon will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .
I Salute You.

To Brandon and his family, please know that you are not alone in this journey of pain and sorrow. Always remember that there are those who are there for you to lean on and cry with you. We all hurt with the loss of a loved one and one of our warriors. As an Army Chaplain I have seen many, and sat with many, who have been where you are. I pray that God's Spirit will give you the strength you need each day to embrace the memories and honor Brandon's life.
