Cammie was a dear friend and inspiration to me when we both lived in San Francisco. I loved visiting her when she lived in Mendocino County. There are so many memories of her that stay with me, too many to record here. Rest in blessed peace.

Sure wish I had known her when I lived there in 1961. I love the movie Gone With The Wind and the book.

My favorite memory of Cammie is when she was our special guest when we played Max Steiner's Gone With The Wind concert suite with Coachella Valley Symphony April 2001. She said "To have been held and kissed by Clark Cable, and to have no memory of it whatsoever, is truly one of life's cruelest tricks." Rest in Peace, Cammie. So sorry to hear of Ms. Cammie's passing. I find myself very fortunate to have met her and to have seen her just months ago. She had intrigued me my whole life as the little girl who met a tragic death in what's quite possibly the greatest movie of all time. I feel that she impacted many and was so pleased to find that she was a very down to earth, pleasant lady. I regret that I will never have another chance to meet her again. May her family find comfort in the legacy she left.

Dear Dear Cammie,
I admired you tremendously and feel such gratitude to have known you. The world won't be the same without your beauty, humor and light. But I know that you are safe now in the arms of God's perfect Love. With boundless love, Bev

Dearest Cammie,
Ralph and I have treasured your friendship for these past 63 years! We will miss your visits and me, especially will miss you as my mentor for many of my projects. The funeral mass at St. Brendan's was just beautiful. Sister Elizabeth ( Nan) and I were honored to participate in bringing the gifts. Please save a spot next to you in our Heavenly Kingdom. Love, Georgene and Ralph Boyd, Camarillo, CA

I e-mailed CammieKing many years ago asking about her Mother. Her mother had written a book that I have read a hundred times. Cammie was so gracious in telling me bore about her Mother. May Cammie King rest in peace.
