To the Family of Mr. Cecil Alexander:

I met Mr. Cecil over 30 yrs ago and asked him about the times he spent with Martin Luther King. He was an extremely kind man and did share some interesting experiences, but most of all he shared with just a little old person like me who read a lot and knew that Mr. Cecil was a legend.

I will never forget Mr. Cecil for the things that I learned from just a few conversations. Thanks Mr. Cecil.

Rest in Peace. You will be missed by many.

Respectfully,

A City of Atlanta Citizen

To the Family of the late Cecil Alexander,

Doug, hey this is Doug! ! ! ! ! Sorry to learn of the passing of your father and please do let me know any if anything I can do! I will try to make it to the service however please give me an address where my regards can be sent.

Please give your wife, children and family my regards! I never shall forget you always made a point to highlight that, "anybody can be a politician, but it takes a special person to be a statesman!"

All the best, and again my prayers are with you and your family!

As a young black man I appreciate all that he has done and through his legacy continues to do not only for one group of people but humanity!

Demetrius
