I got to thinking about Mr. Alexander today as I was looking at Mrs. Tufting. Helen made a line of stuffed animals based on shorthand characters and he brought me one as a gift about 10 years ago. We became friends while he was seeing my doctor at the Emory Spine Center. What a wonderful, smart, kind man he was.I absolutely LOVED when he would come because he always had some fascinating story or memory to share. I think of him every time I look up at Mrs. Tufting, who has been on my desk since the day he gave her to me. Rest in peace, my friend. Liz Berman, RN

I give my condolences to the Alexander family for their loss.
Mr Alexander did a great service to all Atlantans in the late '60's...also my Dad, Curtis Lynn, spoke well of Mr Alexander as he did work for him when he built his round house in the '50's.. We have 2 twin beds given to my family from that time..my Father passed on 7/11/14 @ 92 and we miss him as we miss Mr Alexander being with us...

Helen, Terri, Judith, Doug and families: Cecil was an amazing man whom I feel privileged to know for many years through our friendships. He will be deeply missed, and I hope that warm, family stories about him will help you. Love, Deby
