Dear Hicks Family, we are deeply saddened by the loss of such a distinguished young African American man, father, attorney, husband and big contributor to our society who touched so many lives in so many ways. He will be truly missed.

To the family of Charles Hicks,
I apologize for the delay as I was just notified of Charles' going home. The Lord has picked another flower to adorn His table. I had the distinct pleasure of working with CDR Hicks during his reserve drills in the DC area since the 90's. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. May God keep you and strengthen you.

Peace and Blessings

Dearest Hicks Family:
God is loving, kind, generous and forgiving in all things of His people. May His strength be the wind beneath your wings and the solid rock on which you stand and lean on when needed. He knows your hearts are hurting, and will wipe your tears away. Prayers for your strength be with you now and forever, Amen.

There is a time and season for all things under the heavens- at this time I mourn with the family in the loss of one of our JAG family members. I met Capt Hicks over a year ago while serving as a student at the Army JAG School. He was a very professional, knowledgeable, caring officer and leader. He wore the uniform with pride and dignity. Fair winds and following seas. My prayers are with the family.

To the Hicks Family: Please know that your extended family members at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles are keeping each of you in our prayers. May your fondest memories of Charles never fade. Sincerely, Laura J. Burton Odem, Iola B. Burton, & Connie Burton Pulliam
