I was one of his first 1961 babies! My mother's doc was out of town and Dr Long delivered me. She stayed under his care for over 40 years. My mother, Betty, was quite fond of Dr Long and always spoke highly of him.

Crawford was a wonderful friend to me and my late husband, Mike Higgins. He and Fran and Charles Collier were so much fun and we truly enjoyed life together. Later, meeting and knowing Mimi was a gift and she made him very happy. Crawford delivered my two children, Jennifer and Reed, and his devoted nurse, Mary ,stayed into the night to make sure these two babies were delivered into this world with greatness!!!!Mary is one of a kind, and was truly devoted to him. He and George were such a team, and it gave Crawford so much happiness to work with his son. Christi made a smile come onto his face, each time I ask about her. I still have the card that Crawford and Fran gave to Jennifer when she arrived. They put money in this precious card and drew a dress in it that they wanted to buy for her. What a BLESSING he has been to so many. God blessed me with his friendship, and he will be missed. To Christi, Mimi, and George and the rest of this great family, my sympathy and love is sent to you all. I will pray for peace and God's love for you. Much love, Catherine Higgins Crossley

Nothing is more comforting than knowing the person that is going to help deliver your baby flew insane missions in the Korean War. What's a little c-section to him? Not only was he an accomplished physician, but his kindness was passed down to his son, Dr. George Long. We will miss him!

What a beautiful soul! Dr. Long had been my OB/GYN since the early 80's. He delivered my one and only child, Faith. Such a kind and patient physician; jovial and caring. He leaves a wonderful legacy. Our deepest sympathies to the family.

I first met Dr. Long when I was new to pediatric private practice in Atlanta years ago. I was visiting OB GYN offices , scheduling appointments to meet the physicians at a later time. His secretary told me she knew he'd want to meet me right then and he did! He was warm and welcoming, asking me many questions about myself. I will always remember that sweet encounter!
Prayers to his family,

Dr. Crawford Long was a wonderful doctor, as well as a true southern gentleman. I enjoyed working with him at Northside Hospital for many years. We have lost a wonderful doctor and heaven has gained a beautiful soul. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family. He will be missed by many.

PRAYER is always applicable to every situation; happy, sad, etc. Draw more closer to God in this time of pain through PRAYER, and you will be surprised how He would help you cope during this distressing time of losing a loved one in death; James 4:8.
