Dear Joy,
I will always remember your 2002 visit to California. Gene's inspection of our dahlias was a highlight of the summer.
Gene's memory will live on in the American Dahlia Society. We are all saddened by your loss.

Dear Joy, it is with deepest sympathy that I send you this note. Though I did not know either you or Gene, My Father thought the world of Gene in the Scouting at Second Ponce de Leon, and of course I have known and kept up with Dick all our lives since our North Fulton days. Know God is with you and will aid you, as he did when I
lost my Husband.
Love, Martha Shivers Albertson

It is with deepest sympathy that I send my condolences. It is often difficult to find the right words to say, but I do hope that it gives you comfort in knowing that God is near to all those calling upon his name in truth; and he is always ready to show his strength on behalf of those whose heart is complete toward him. (Psalm 145:18; 2 Chron. 16:9)
