Thinking of both Rick and Reg at this time. I have such fond memories of both of your parents. They were always such sweet people.

With deepest sympathy to the Griffin family during your time of grief...God is for you a refuge and strength, A help that is there to be found during difficult times...May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead...(Psalm 62:8).

Dear Hollis Griffin Family: I would like to be there to express sincere thanks, in person, from the Bartley family. We served as missisonaries in Uruguay for 41 years. Hollis made phone patches for us to talk with our parents starting in 1954. When our four children came to the States for college, beginning in 1966, Hollis was there for us again. He was always very puntual in the contacts and generous with his time. He lived to serve others! He certainly lived a full and fruitful life.

As a person, Hollis Griffin lived a most exemplary life, unselfish, kind, giving, humble. He was especially important to me all my life as his nephew. It is always hard to give up a loved one,but I am comforted by knowing he has bridged the final gap in life and enjoying a much deserved eternal rest. I will miss Hollis and Betty Jo always.

It is comforting to know that Jesus, the Ruler of God's Kingdom, is called the “Prince of Peace,” and he will ensure that “to peace there will be no end.”—Isaiah 9:6, 7.

Wonderful memories of Hollis as my father's friend and carpool buddy for many years. Dad (Bill Thigpen), Marvin Burton and Mildred Evans road to Georgia Power together and occasionally during the '60's I got to ride with them to Georgia State. They were always laughing and joking with each other.....it gave me a glimpse of another side of my father, seeing him interact with friends. Precious memories. God bless you as you grieve for this fine man,.
