I am very grieved to just learn of my Uncle's death in September. He was extraordinarily kind and considerate of me and my sister after my father died an early death from cancer (his brother, Joseph William Sognier). I will always remember my Uncle Jack's affection for us and, in particular, his charismatic smile. I am truly sorry for his passing and for your loss.
John was, without a doubt, a leading light of Savannah's legal profession and a war hero, and thus a towering figure in what has become known as the Greatest Generation. I know that he will be deeply missed by his family, and that his strong leadership will be deeply missed by the Savannah community. My most sincere condolences.
Loretta, we all enjoyed Judge Sognier when he mediated cases at Henning Mediation. Ed especially thought he was very special. May God bless you and your family at this time of great sorrow. Helen Henning
With deepest sympathy to the Sognier family during your time of grief...God is for you a refuge and strength, A help that is there to be found during difficult times...May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead...(Psalm 62:8).
