Joi Sanne - I am saddened by your loss. May God continue to bless you and your family.
A wonderful Spelman woman who lived our school's motto: Our whole school for Christ. Her life, family, community and her world reflected the joy of living for Christ. She was my mentor. We are praying for you, her daughters. We love you both. She now is always in your hearts. St. Paul said in God's Word: "To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord." Joy answered," Present" that day our Father called the roll. Let's ALL LIVE OUR LIVES, LIKE HER FOR CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!

Sana & Joisanne,
My "Senior Spelman Sister" always had a beautiful smile, a warm embrace and an encouraging word each time I saw her. She was also always "camera ready"! I am certain she imediately assumed responsibility for coordinating God's calendar of special events in heaven - with Mignon! I share with you what a wise woman told me when my mother made her transition: It'll never be the same, but it'll be ok. Much love.
May God comfort the family during your time of bereavement. You have our most sincere prayers.
Please accept my condolences. May you find comfort in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 where the bible encourages us to pray, especially during times of loss.
To SannaGai and JoiSanne
You were a pillar of strength even until the end. Fighting all life's battles, knowing triumphantly you would win.
Pushing us to be the best that you know we could be. Reminding us to keep the faith and allow God to lead me. Knowing it's through Christ that we can do all things.
Finding relief in knowing I will see you again someday. Remembering all you taught us as we walk in footsteps you have walked before us.
May God continue to bless and comfort you and your family.
It was an honor and a privilege to have Joy come into our lives. We will miss her beautiful smile, great sense of humor, her visits to Big Canoe, but most of all, we will miss her love.
To SannaGai and JoiSanne

Mrs. Brown you will be missed. I thank God that I had time to spend with you when I returned to Atlanta. You and my Mother were the best of friends. Knowing now that you are free from pain and you are now in the presence of our keeper. Jesus the Christ.
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.
