Offering my deepest condolences. ( Ps 46 : 1 )
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
Miss Simon was a woman for whom I will ever have respectful and loving memories. Of course there were other PE teachers, but in her classes I learned that my body could do athletic activity, and ENJOY it. Her second greatest gift to me was as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College when I was National President. She gave us historical and level-headed insights as we sought to fulfill our mission, and she let me know that she approved of my leadership efforts. My love for and gratitude to her will last forever.

Marguerite Simon-"Miss Spelman thy name we praise," speaks LOUDLY to all who were associated with the College and the City of Atlanta during her walk towards FAITHFULNESS. May we be ever blessed to have the dedication to love and bind our hearts to one another. Grace and peace on your journey, Miss Simon. Fondly, Jackie Marshall-Alumna-Atlanta,Georgia
You have been a beacon of light for thousands of young women! Although you will be missed, your legacy will never be forgotten.
My earliest and fondest memories (of my entire life) involve Spelman College and MANY of them include Miss Simon. She's been a quiet, but forceful presence on campus and the Alumnae association for as long as I can remember. She will really be missed.
Miss Simons taught me many years ago. I knew her before attending Spelman. She was such an inspiration in my life. I'm so happy I had a chance to visit with her at A.G. Rhodes. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Miss Simon left an amazing legacy. Her service as Historian in the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College was commendable.

"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep to him." 1Thessalonians 4:13-14. (NIV)
Rest in peace Ms. Simon, Jesus prepares a special place for believers in heaven.

We extend our deepest sympathy to you in your time of bereavement. Our prayers for your strength through the days ahead will go up to a God who perfectly plans and perfectly performs all things. We pray that the "God of All Comfort" will fill the void that has been left in your life by the loss of your sister / aunt / loved - one. The life of love and service that Sister Simon lived for Jesus spoke volumes for her while she was on earth and now her rewards for that service are ringing out in heaven. The Body of Christ has been enriched by Sister Simon's life. She is now among that "great cloud of witnesses" and we who remain here must pick up the baton that she has laid down and "run with diligence this race that is set before us." Sister Simon's faith in Christ Jesus has been turned to 'sight' and 'real life' has begun for her!
May the Lord bless you and keep you and make HIS face to smile upon you.
